Buy @ $3.08. Have not been a shareholder of SingTel for a long time. Yield @ 4.058% , PE 14.21, the worst amongst all the TELCOs, but the only one that’s diversified regionally.

Sep-09 is their mid-yr and for the past 2 years, div was 5.6ct. I don’t expect it to be any lesser this year and I expect the positives to come from the stronger A$ (Optus biz in Australia).

Big selling since they outbid StarHub for the BPL rights (mkt estimate is they paid US$400M but I doubt so as Starhub was already losing $$ fm their US$150M bid last time – My Guess is max. US$180M-US$200M. Further, if we view it fm the perspective that SingTel’s Net Profit of ~S$4Bil is more than 10x that of StarHub, this may not be a too significant impact on their bottomline) and Bharti merger being called off. Dropped from $3.2x since beginning Oct, looks like some kind of co-ordinated selling! Seller ’78’ – ML. 😀

Sell @ $3.42. Contra off, no more. See if can buy on dips 😀

Buy @ $3.34. Rumours circulating in mkt that Temasek is planning to place out shares is contributing to the drop fm $3.5x to current level. Start a new collection but may be short term while awaiting their div dates 😀

Sell @ $3.40. Contra off all (my broker allows me T+5 for contra). Will buy again if it drops back 😀

Buy @ $3.30. Saw SingTel buy-back at $3.32, thot’ shld hv better support! 😀

Buy @ $3.34. FY07 results out this AM, div 6.5ct (final) + 9.5ct (special), better than my expectation of 5.5-6.0ct. Mkt reaction is -ve, -8ct so far. Buy some and see how 😀

Sell @ $2.72. Price up today likely due to news that they are bidding for EPL rights. Results due and expected to be dragged down by Optus. That was my last lots of SingTel and it shld hit $2.8x next 😀

Sell @ $2.66. Going up with every sell! 😀

Sell @ $2.49. More to sell if it goes up to $2.5x 😀
