Forterra @ $2.28

Sell @ $2.28

Decided to take profit for some of my holding as I'd been too aggressive in buying when it looked clear that Nan Fung deal was through (from married deal Qty & price) even before they did an SGX Annc. Recent price strength could be due to their road show – Presentation Slides was posted in SGX Annc yesterday. My guess is Nan Fung will be putting in a lot more effort to try to push the price towards their $2.98 acquisition of their stake. Let's see if I get to sell at higher prices or buy back at lower prices… 😀

SPH @ $4.04

Sell @ $4.04

Decided to take profit for my most recent ones as +6ct today. Bought a bit too many and too fast recently as prices were dropping. Another 5 weeks or so to their FY (Aug) results announcement where I'm expecting Div ~17ct (last year). 😀

Sabana @ $1.13

Buy @ $1.13

Try for short term. Likely weakness is due to the uncertainty of their tenants' lease renewal. Think I'll pair it with SB REIT to do switching between the two as both are in Industrial assets and Yield ~8%+. 😀

F&N @ $5.53

Buy @ $5.53

Add to average down. On a day when STI is +35.69 @ 3123.89 (looks like US data is pointing towards no easing of QE3?), F&N is -2ct. After the initial spike when they announced the proposal to split into F&N & FCL, there was the dampener from Myanmar side, with their Military partner wanting to take over F&N's stake of the highly profitable Myanmar Brewery… 😀

F&N @ $5.557

Buy @ $5.56 & $5.55

Decided to add back to my portfolio. They'd recently proposed spliting the biz into F&N (F&B + Printing/Publishing) & FCL (Properties). Will have to go thro' EGM and expected to be in Oct/Nov. Try for short term but can hold for long term. 😀

SB REIT @ $0.725

Sell @ $0.725

Prices had been rather stable at this range even though there'd been no Stabilising actions. Decided to take profits for all my profitable ones as market remains volatile. Will likely buy back if it drops. 😀

Sarin @ $1.435

Buy @ $1.435

Decided to add back to my portfolio, but, at a higher than my last sold price. Further, just missed out on their recent US4ct (interim + Special) dividend. Current price weakness may be due to the uncertainty in the Middle East (due to Syria). Sarin is an Israeli co. although most of their facilities are overseas eg. India, to be near their major customers.

Since my last vesting, they have continued to grow their Revenue & Profit, with focus on new recurring streams. Using FY12 results, PE = 18.26 ; Yield = 3.606% (incl. Special Div) is not very attractive unless growth continues (am betting on that). Additional attraction is no Debts + Cash = 12.72ct/share (likely lower in next Quarterly results, after 4ct Interim Div payout). Key risk is the dependence on the economy as their customers' end product are Diamonds where demands will be typically lower during recessionary times. Price and supply of diamonds by DeBeers (major supply of diamonds controlled by them) can also affect their biz. 😀

Vard @ $0.93

Sell @ $0.925, $0.94

Bigger than usual Vol = 12,434,00 ; Range = $0.885 to $0.945, Close @ $0.925, +3.5ct. Very likely due to the rather positive report by MayBank Kim Eng which was released yesterday. They even did a compilation of the forward statements from Vard's end customers and mostly, positive on OSV demands.

Still, I have decided to take profit on my profitable ones as market continues to have much uncertainties and fears – Syria, QE3 Easing, India/Indonesia currency weakness,… Will buy back if it slips below 90ct. 😀

UMS @ $0.51

Buy @ $0.51

Add to my holdings. STI is back to -ve again after the +ve yesterday which broke a 10-days -ve streak. 😀
