LMIR @ $0.485

Buy @ $0.485. Taking risk with new share addition to my portfolio. Risky as all assets are in Indonesia and also, DPU had dropped consecutively for 4 quarters (from 1.36 -> 1.3 -> 1.22 -> 1.16ct). Yield is 9.567%. Seller ’08’ – CS. πŸ˜€

Thomson Medical @ $0.71

Sell @ $0.71. This should be my last batch of selling unless prices hit $0.75. Mid-year results (am expecting Div to be 1-1.5ct)  is due soon and looks like someone is accumulating slowly. Buyer ’29’ – DBSV and ’73’ – Macquarie buying in batches of 2-3 lots each time πŸ˜€

SBSTransit @ $1.77

Sell @ $1.77. The last of my cheap ones. Raise some cash to buy others as quarterly reporting season is around the corner. πŸ˜€

Thomson Medical @ $0.705

Sell @ $0.705. It’s with great reluctance that I’m selling this as mid-year results are due soon. But, seems like there’s someone accumulating and I’m hopeful that it may drop back below $0.70 once this fella stops buying. Buyer ’05’ – UOBKH, not the foreign brokerage I’d expected (foreign funds usually don’t use local brokers). πŸ™‚

SPAusNet @ $1.15

Buy @ $1.15. Should be my last buy (unless there’s a much bigger drop or if I raise some free cash) till their 2H results on 12-May. Will trade in short term as I have enough in my collection to play around. Main concern now is whether A$ will weaken as it’ll affect the share price (all their assets and earnings are in Australia). Seller ’17’ – CIMB, same as my previous ones; wonder if it’s the same joker! πŸ˜€

SBSTransit @ $1.75

Sell @ $1.75. I did mention that I’d try to sell before it xd, didn’t I ? Need to free up some cash, no choice. πŸ˜€

SPH @ $3.83

Sell @ $3.83. Decided not to wait for $3.88++ as I’m a bit strapped for cash after buying SPAusNet. See if I can buy back at a lower price before their mid-year results announcement. πŸ˜‰

SPAusNet @ $1.17

Buy @ $1.17. Buy more for the yield but may also be a short term trade if opportunity arises. πŸ˜€

SPAusNet @ $1.18

Buy @ $1.18. Sure feels silly to be buying at such a high price after having sold at below $0.90 last July and with the STI now having gone up a fair bit (2916). Net Yield is ~8.67% but will depend on the A$ exchange rate and the different components of payout (some of which are subject to Aussie tax). Div policy is semi-annual with 2H10 being Mar. So, take a bet as investors seems to be slowly becoming less fearful and continue to buy up yield stocks. Maybe I should sell down my CitySpring (similar infrastructure biz) to switch over as the yield is 1.5% higher (but got forex risk). πŸ˜€

LionApac @ $0.34

Buy @ $0.34. An impulsive buy based on Ken’s recommendation. Their cash/share (47ct – $190Mil @ 405.5Mil shares) is higher than share price after they’d sold their China business (Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co @ $53.2Mil profit). NAV is even higher @ 53.39ct. It was also reported in BT on Sat. that shareholders were unhappy that LionApac didn’t pay out a special dividend from this big cash position.

LionApac is apparently looking for new biz as their remaining biz doesn’t seem very profitable (Most likely we’ll see a net loss fm next Q). Extracts fm Q2 (Dec09) financials,

Improvement in market demand has resulted in the quicklime business registering a 35% rise in turnover from S$3.7 million to S$5.0 million during the second quarter, with a growth in earnings from S$0.3 million to S$1.1 million. Accordingly, turnover increased by 10% from S$9.2 million to S$10.1 million during the half year, and earnings went up by 69% from S$1.3 million to S$2.2 million.

The scrap metal trading business did not carry out any trade due to the absence of demand in this second quarter as well as the last corresponding quarter. Hence, it recorded a turnover of S$13.6 million during this half year, compared with S$3.5 million in the last corresponding half year. Earnings amounted to S$0.3 million, up from the last corresponding half year’s S$0.1 million.

The electronics business, comprising only contract manufacturing, still suffered from the electronics industry downturn, saw its turnover shrank by 87% from S$7.9 million to S$1.0 million. A loss of S$0.6 million was incurred during the quarter after taking into account foreign exchange loss and write-off of an investment, compared with earnings of S$0.3 million in the last corresponding quarter. During the half year, turnover dropped by 93% from S$24.8 million to S$1.7 million, leading to a net loss of S$0.8 million, rather than earnings of S$0.6 million in the last corresponding half year.

The risk for me is that the longer the mgmt takes to explore new biz, the higher the likelihood the share price will drop back to the sub-30ct level. But, the 27.5% discount to cash/share looks very attractive! I better spend more time to dig into this co. in case there are many hidden problems!

Note : A search on CNA Market Forum and www.NextInsight.net shows discussions and write-ups on LionApac cash position, so, don’t anyhow treat this as an undiscovered hidden gem ie. there’s risk here. πŸ˜€

Buy @ $0.335. Looks set to go lower!
